Green clad female on the right
Real Name: Lumina Charisse Molyneux
Aliases: None
"True" Power: Unknown
Occupation: Irritating little sister, all purpose grunt
Legal Status: Clean
Age: 20
Marital Status: Single
Appearance: Lumina stands at 5’8” with a long and slender frame she keeps wonderfully fit, fleshed over in ebony. Silver white locks laced with blue fall in a perfectly straight silky river to almost her knees, however she often keeps her hair up in a ponytail, bangs hanging in her deep scarlet eyes. She can be found in rather casual garb, pants and witty tees. In fact, it’s not often that she dresses up, despite the way her sister attires herself.
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Personality: Box of sunshine. What else can there be said of her? She’s bubbly and cheerful and almost always in a good mood. She’s also very intelligent and outspoken, however not always easy to follow as her mouth has trouble keeping up with her brain. She loves attention and she also loves being the center of attention. Then again, as loveable as she is, it’s hard to ignore her.
Hobbies: Irritating little sister…? She loves to run, actually. Just run, nowhere and to nothing, but just to run for the sake of it. She also enjoys helping her sister in her shop (also referred to as ‘digging through the wares and deciding which ones didn’t need to go to the customer and needed to go home with her instead’). Oh, and weapons. She likes the pointy and shiny of weapons, as well as the rest of that stuff that goes with it.
History: Lumina was the second of three children, the first being her sister Scarlett and the last being a boy who unfortunately did not make it beyond childbirth, taking their mother him. Thus, the two girls grew up with their father, a warm and loving man who took great care in educating his daughters. However, upon realizing that Lumina was not a creature to be held within the confines of a building, he did what he could to treat her to sports and the like. To his delight, she found solace in running and all aspects of weapons. So, these were the things he focused on for her, not forcing as much book learning on her as he did Scarlett.
As the girls grew older, so did their father and the weight of the loss of his wife was bringing down his once shining spirit. By the time Lumina was seventeen, her father was being laid to rest. And not much after, Scarlett had gone mad. It was a subtle change at first, something Lumina wrote off as hurt and depression. But, Scarlett never seemed to recover after several months, which tore at Lumina’s heart to see her sister so. And then, one day, she snapped. But, Scarlett hadn’t quite the physical prowess that her younger sister did and in the midst of a strange attack involving a hot poker and some seared flesh along Lumina’s inner left arm and left side, Lumina was forced to detain Scarlett and then hand her over to someone’s hands who could handle her. An institution. This almost broke the bubbly teenager’s spirit.
Though she had no job, she had retained all of the money her father had left for her and her sister, as well as the home they all shared. At least for the first year. She made it a habit to go and visit her sister at least once every other day. And at first, it seemed that Scarlett was not going to get better. She continued to rave, continued to threaten, and worse hurt others and herself. But, Lumina never stopped visiting.
The money began to dwindle however, as did Lumina’s spirit. And soon, the now eighteen year old young woman was left with nothing. No money, no home, and no family. And still she came to see Scarlett. She continued for the next year, job hopping, doing what she could to earn money and living in some not so elegant places. But, still, she came to see her sister.
After nearly two years of being institutionalized, Scarlett had stopped raving, had stopped hurting. Lumina had never understood what actually happened, but not long after her calm had succeeded in restoring her to her original state, she was allowed to leave, but was requested to return for ‘check-ins’. Lumina was excited, but knew that her tiny apartment and even smaller income would not be able to support the both of them. But, still she continued on to do what she could for her sister.
What she hadn’t know, while at work, Scarlett was out hunting for her own job. She had to help Lumina in anyway she could and finally found a job in an odds and ends shop that needed a book keep and accountant. At once, she presented the find to Lumina who was glad for her sister, but worried at the same time. She couldn’t help but wonder if the stress of such a job would make her seemingly fragile psyche collapse again. But, she encouraged her anyway.
After several months, the job proved to be healthy for Scarlett and she returned almost entirely to herself, however she almost never mentioned their lost family. Lumina never pressed about them either. She feared a relapse if she did. However, Scarlett, feeling guilty about her sister’s inability to hold a job, did some bargaining with the shop owners and got her in as a stock and delivery girl. This made the idea of Scarlett having a job easier on Lumina, who was thrilled to get to spend more time with her sister.
The two sisters also proved useful in the shop. They helped the couple who owned it bring in a variety of customers with their ideas. Scarlett thought up a whole new list of items they could use, everything from books to clothing to the weaponry that Lumina thought would work well with the crowds they saw. And after a year, the shop had expanded to nearly double it’s original size from when Scarlett began working there. In fact, Scarlett pretty much ran the place, considering the owners rarely even needed to make an appearance, trusting both girls to keep the place running.
And still today, the two sisters can be found in the shop, Scarlett trying to figure out orders and numbers while Lumina spends her time with customers and doing all sorts of general grunt work that her sister requires of her.
