Red clad female on the left
Real Name: Scarlett Liana Molyneux
Aliases: None
"True" Power: Unknown
Occupation: Boss lady for the shop she’s been employed in for the past year
Legal Status: Clean
Age: 24
Marital Status: Single
Appearance: Scarlett stands at 5’5” with a fairly healthy frame that carries a little more weight than her younger sister, her flesh a shade shy of ebony. Her silver white hair that hangs to about the middle of her back, is usually kept up and in a bun, as it’s silky mass often gets in her way. Scarlet eyes seem to constantly be analyzing the world from within a somewhat too serious visage. Her style borders on modest, as she enjoys long sleeves and long skirts, but at the same time, she allows for flesh to be made visible with long slits in her skirts or mid drift bearing shirts.
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Personality: Being that she pretty much runs an entire shop, she’s become rather bossy and strict, but not so much that she’s unpleasant or rude. She’s very inquisitive and is equally well read, thusly gives off an air of intelligence. She’s also very driven and a hard woman to bargain with. However, she has a tendency to distance herself from those around her, even her sister, and remain somewhat aloof for days at a time.
Hobbies: She runs a shop. What other hobbies does she need, seriously?
History: Scarlett was the oldest of three siblings, the younger being her sister Lumina and the youngest being a boy who unfortunately never made it beyond childbirth, taking their mother with him. Thus, the two girls grew up with their father, a warm and loving man who took great care in educating his daughters. However, upon realizing that Scarlett was a quiet creature who preferred the company of words and numbers rather than that of people, he did what he could to fully educate the girl in a way he never really received himself. He hired tutors and instructors who filled her mind and imagination to such an extent that even he had trouble containing her and her excitement over learning.
As the girls grew older, so did their father and the weight of the loss of his wife was bringing down his once shining spirit. By the time Scarlett was twenty one, their father was being laid to rest. And not long after, Scarlett began to feel something in her slipping from reality. She buried herself in books and in old textbooks she had once been so fascinated by, but the beauty of learning began to remove itself from her. And it frustrated her. Not only had she lost her mother, her father, and a brother she never got to know, she was also losing her love for everything. It was as if a bomb had gone off inside her and she exploded in a fury at her sister, the one she had left that she had neglected, attempting to kill the one person who was doing everything they could for her.
And in the next two years, her world became very foggy and disturbing. Her mind reeled with unpleasant thoughts, with demons that haunted her for what felt like hundreds of years. She wanted only to control them, to make them leave her be, but never would they leave her, especially when Lumina came to see her. Her shady creations would shrink at the sight of her sister, a beacon of light and hope who was always so good to her. And she always came. Always. Some days, she stayed longer. Some days, she couldn’t come, but she did the next day. Always.
During her visits, Scarlett became very aware of how old her sister was beginning to look, how tired, how unhappy. She had always been such a little ray of sunshine and now she looked so broken. And she blamed herself. The demons told her, reminded her, tortured her. She knew that had she paid heed to her little sister after the death of her father she wouldn’t have given into this darkness that all but consumed her. But, she hadn’t and now that beautiful, cheerful little girl was a tired, unhappy woman who only wanted to make sure her sister was happy.
And it was Lumina and the thoughts of Lumina that pulled Scarlett out of her haze. Those awful things that tortured her had lost so much hold over the course of two years. Suddenly, her only goal was to get out of that awful place and return to take care of her little sister the way she was supposed to have done after their father died. And one day, she was released. Lumina was there, as always, smiling, shining a little brighter but still haggard.
When Scarlett was treated to Lumina’s residence and her place of work, she suddenly realized what her sister had been putting herself through merely for her sake. Such devotion, it touched her and her purpose became strengthened. She had to do something for Lumina. She had to at least get a job. And so she set out to get one. After several weeks, she finally found one as an accountant in a nearby shop that was seemingly on it’s way up. Thrilled about it, she brought it up to Lumina, who didn’t seem as excited, but then again Scarlett couldn’t blame her. She knew that her sister remembered all to well the night she attacked her, even if Scarlett didn’t. And to make it better, she found a position for Lumina, who was again between jobs. This seemed to make her sister brighten more, which made Scarlett feel much better.
The two sisters also proved useful in the shop. They helped the couple who owned it bring in a variety of customers with their ideas. Scarlett thought up a whole new list of items they could use, everything from books to clothing to the weaponry that Lumina thought would work well with the crowds they saw. And after a year, the shop had expanded to nearly double it’s original size from when Scarlett began working there. In fact, Scarlett pretty much ran the place, considering the owners rarely even needed to make an appearance, trusting both girls to keep the place running.
And still today, the two sisters can be found in the shop, Scarlett trying to figure out orders and numbers while Lumina spends her time with customers and doing all sorts of general grunt work that her sister requires of her. But, she isn’t without her guilt. Still, Scarlett feels for what she has done to her little sister and does everything she can to make sure she’s happy and still shining as she did when they were children.
((I know they're technically Drow, but I REALLY wanted to use them. I'll just pretend their dark skinned, sound good?))
