Lou was going to come with her demon today! Rune was in an unusually good mood, which made the owners of his costume shop slightly on edge. Whatever made the rather deranged boy so happy couldn't be a good thing, could it? He kept on running up and down the stairs, around the shop looking for things, and around his apartment, or at least that's what it sounded like from the front apartment. Finally he knocked on their door.
Somewhat nervous, the man answered the door. "Yes, Rune?"
"May I borrow a cook book?" he asked, pleadingly. Only someone truely heartless could deny him, that look, it was too cute and innocent... only... Rune... and a stove... fire... oh no.
"I, um, Rune, are you hungry, I'm sure my wife would make you something..."
"Pleaseeee, I'm having a friend over and I want to make her something," he said, his expression much like a puppy expecting to get kicked but hopeful...
"Oh, alright. Just, give it back when you're done..." he said, bringing out a cook book. He didn't think the boy heard him.
Rune cried, "Yay!" Hugging the cook book, he ran into his apartment. In theory, he did have a kitchen. It had to be somewhere in the apartment. It was just, he'd never used it before. After a while hunting, he found it. Then, he had to figure out how to turn on the stove... and how to make... open a can... and... realize that the stove was hot.
By the time he was done, his hands hurt, very badly actually, but the food smelled appetizing... though it looked kind of weird... he'd accidentally meshed two recipes together and only realized it until afterwards. He hoped Lou would like it. And her demon. A fluffy white demon.
Belatedly, he remembered the skirt that he'd fixed for the young woman. Right. He hunted it, from among his many half-finished projects, finally found it, and tripped over a mostly-done dollhouse. It was undamaged, but his legs weren't so fortunate. Despite the cloth covering them, he could tell they were scraped badly. He lay down on the ground, which was ... well, there was a hardwood floor under the layers of fabric... probably... somewhere...

Rune wasn't very patient, after waiting a while he began to get nervous for some reason. No one had come into his apartment before. It was messy. The purple-haired teen began trying to clean. He sorted the cloth into piles; finished projects, his clothes, works in progress, and fabric.
The piles came to his waist, and were along the wall of the living room. He then moved the doll houses as a sort of barricade so the clothes wouldn't take over the floor again. Then he stacked other things behind the couch. Threw stuffed animals on top of that, in various states. There was still a lot on the floor. He frowned, and kicked it all into his room, which made the front room look immaculate.
Now that the apartment was 'clean' he looked down at himself. He was wearing his pajamas, purple and blue striped flannel things. They were kinda cute, but more importantly comfortable. Still, he hunted through his room for some clothes. A black top, tight and stretchy, black pants with silver chainy things, black socks, and black gloves. It seemed that was the color for the day... though... he looked at his face in a mirror, and smiled. Moments later he was rummaging through the bathroom. Dark purple eyeliner. Yay...

She was very late, how wonderful. Louisa was expected to be at the costume shop an hour ago but something prevented her from leaving on time. That something was mewing through the bars of the carrier she was swinging back and forth. Why couldn't Elea just get into his cat carrier like all the other nice kitties? But, no he had to tear up half the place before Lou tricked him into it. At last the dark haired women got fed up with chasing the beast so she decided to one up him. tying the cat's favorite toy mouse to a string she dangled it through the roof. Ooh, tantalizing the ball of fur must have thought because he ran full force into the cage and the opposite bars. Not caring to check to see if Elea was dazed or not from bumping his head Lou sent off to Rune's place with just Elea in his carrier and a faded old bag.
"Well, I guess there is always punctuality in being late," Louisa mused aloud. This caused the closest shop goers to stare at her strangely. Today was exactly three days after she dropped her ripped skirt in. Rune promised to have it fixed by know. This one hope keep her going for she didn't know where Rune lived in the shop. After an hour of what felt like an endless search Louisa decided to do the unthinkable as she headed for the shop owners office.
Ten minutes later Louisa found herself hastily stumbling up there stairs to Rune's apartment. The shop owner didn't believe that she was there to have so sort of food stuffs with the boy. Not only that he shouted at her for bringing a cat into his beautiful shop. After multiple threats of his calling the authorities Lou finally managed to convince the owner it was his best interest to tell her where Rune lived. So here she was taking the final step only to trip forward and knocking on the door with her head. "Ouch," she exclaimed rubbing the bump forming. "That is one way to let him know we're here, right?"

Rune ran over to the door, tripping over something that had escaped his haphazard cleaning spree of doom on the way. He landed face first on the kitchen floor. "Oof." Moments later he swung open the door and smiled at Lou, cheerfully. "Good morning Louisa!" It was actually some time after noon. Ah, well. Like he paid attention to the time. "You know, you have to be careful on that step, it's kinda broken still. Oh well, come in. Is your demon in that?" he peered at the cat carrier, backing up so the young woman could come inside. "I made dinner, but ... well, I don't know whether it's edible, if it isn't we can eat somewhere else I suppose..."

"Mornin'," Louisa exclaimed back to Rune. She didn't care whether it was the afternoon either. "Well, I see I've finally found the place. My gosh was your apartment hard to find. And yes I see your step is still broke. I have the bump to prove it." It was true. There was a small red mark forming on her forehead. "I hope it doesn't bruise," she muttered ignoring Rune for a moment. Once into his apartment a big smile appeared onto her face. "Yep the fluffy white monster is in here. You want to see?"

"It's a bit of a maze in the back of the store, isn't it?" Rune asked with a grin. No one but he knew where everything was in the place, not even the owners. Mainly because he had left little 'traps' if they ventured in places he didn't want them... "You got hurt?" he peered at the red mark on her forehead. "It looks like you're trying to grow a horn. That would look cool... the demon's in there? Yes I would like to see? What do demons like to eat? Play with? Um... come in, I cleaned up a bit, you can even see the couch I almost forgot I had one!"

"Yes, a maze," Louisa repeated. There was no way she was going to tell Rune that she had gotten lost before the maze. As usual there was to much going on for her to notice everything. "It was a kinda interesting path too. Kept my interest." Now that was code for the fact that the maze wasn't all bad once she had found out where Rune actually lived. It had taken the dark haired woman about 5 or so minutes to get through the maze. As for those traps, she had seen them all before they were let off. Almost all to be more exact. "Rune, needles are used for sewing not as projectiles," Lou said in tone as though she was explaining that two plus two equals fish.
Even so she didn't much care for Rune's answer the young woman still listened. At the very base of the back of her neck she rubbed. This is where the needle had poked her. It was beginning to itch. "Yes, the demon be in here," Louisa smiled. "And I hope I don't grow a horn. They be very unbecoming." With a small pause she was trying to figure out how to answer the purple haired youth. "I'm not sure what the beast likes but I be assumin' he wouldn't mind a bit of meat," she at last said as though she was revealing a long kept secret. "He likes to play with strings, toy mouses, real mouses, and the occasional finger tips. A couch, no way?" Hmm... Lou had almost missed Rune's last statement. "Well, at least you didn't completely forget about it. It isn't as though you be forgettin' that you have a kitchen, let alone where it is."

Rune blinked innocently when Lou explained that needles were not to be used as projectiles. Why not? Well, wait, did she get hurt by one? They were meant for the owners drat it! Now he'd have to reset the traps. He pouted slightly when he realized that. "I have to set traps or the owners'll annoy me," he mumbled. Then he smiled when she told him what the demon would like.
His eyes went wide when she said that about the kitchen. "How did you know I lost my kitchen?" he asked, wandering off to find some strings for the ice demon. He didn't have any shortage of those. "I can make some toy mouses... er, mice.. laters... I think there's still some stuff in the fridge I didn't cook yet... I'll cut some up for the demon..." Rune led the way into the interior of the apartment, after coming back for Louisa.

Alright, that was interesting. Rune's words were going to put down in the 'now that's something you don't hear everyday' category. "Traps against the owners of the building," Louisa repeated in disbelief. "My question is why the need? They don't wish to bother you do they. I mean, come on, why would they? I, ah... come to think of it your reasoning actually makes sense." The truth in the matter is that it did. Would she set traps against the owner of the place she lived at? Not likely really but there was always a possibility.
The classic movement face to palm was performed. "Rune, I cannot be believin' that you actually lost your kitchen," Lou said. "But in all actuality I knew from you that would be possible. And forget whatever stuff that is left over. This fluffy white monster shall be eatin' what we be eatin'." Dark grey eyes watched as the boy left them in the doorway. Was she supposed to follow or stand there all day? The moment he came back though Lou smiled slightly. "Nice place ya got here."

"Ehehe..." Rune ducked his head when asked why he set traps against the owners of the building. Why? Well, for one thing, he could. It wasn't like they were going to do anything about it. He was their only source of income, and they liked having lots and lots of money. So they put up with his, um, quirks. After all, if he threw a hissy fit and refused to make stuff for them, they would have very unhappy customers shortly...
"Thanks. I like it. I think, I think I probably should own the building, but I don't care..." He shrugged, and threw himself on the couch. Comfy..

"Could you?" Lou asked with a raise of an eyebrow. "Owning a building could be very fun. Everything would be yours and you could get away with anything. You could paint the walls neon with brown stripes and no one could tell you different. Though that would make people just... would gouge their eyes out be too much an overreaction?" she asked.
Dark grey eyes followed Rune as he threw himself onto the couch. It looked seconded hand or maybe it wasn't. Kinda hard to tell with the remnants of how his apartment use to look. Wait a second... the purple haired boy couldn't be the type. Could he...? "Rune your closet seems to be bulging," Lou said shortly as she set the fluffy white monster's carrier on the floor.

"Everything might as well be mine, and I get away with everything anyway," Rune said as he stretched then curled himself in a comfortable ball. Much like a cat would. He seemed to fall asleep for a moment, then he moved. Suddenly, he went from stationary to darting across the room. He'd forgotten, the skirt. He quickly went to get retrieve it for Lou. "Here y'go," he mumbled... "Bulging? That can't be good," he said carelessly. "I wonder if there's going to be an avalanche or somethin'...."

((*eep* I almost forgot about this thread.))
"So in short this whole place is yours," Louisa smiled at Rune. "Like your kingdom or something." She was too preoccupied to notice how the boy seemed to mirror her ice demon. They both were curled into a ball but at least Rune wasn't locked in the carrier. When Rune sprang off the couch to retrieve the skirt Lou was wondering whether she should open the closet door. The moment he brought the skirt to her she touched the door's knob.

His kingdom. He giggled quietly. That sounded nice. Of course, he always did exactly what he wanted, where ever he was. Usually he got away with it. Though people tended to chase him if he bit them. Usually swearing. But that was funny...
A lot of ... stuff... exploded from the closet. Luckily, it was mostly cloth, stuffed animals, and the like. They were half buried. Well, Lou would be half buried. Rune fell down and was completely buried in the clothing avalanche. A muffled 'hewf', whatever that meant, came from beneath the pile.

An explosion would have been a perfect descriptive word for not only the amount of stuff falling out of the closet. The avalanche of stuff had given off the classic rumbling sound before it fell. Even the aftermath of it could be loosely described as looking like an explosion had happen. There was stuff everywhere. The force had even knocked Lou off her feet. Kneeling in the midst of everything.
"Well, that was fun," she said off-handily. Covering her dark haired head was a piece of fabric. "Oh geez I can't be believin' this, Rune?" Lou asked in surprise. "Rune," she repeated in worry. "Hey, boy where'd you get off to." Abruptly she forgot about the piece of black fabric on her head and began to dig in through everything. Rune had to be somewhere.

How could clothes and stuffed animals make a rumbling sound before falling? Does it even matter? He was buried underneath an avalanche of clothes, stuffed animals, and the random loose pointy object. When Lou began to dig for him, she ended up burying deeper, by the sole act of chooseing the wrong place to dig. After a few moments, a muffled "elp" came from the place where he really was. Apparently he'd not only been buried, but knocked off his feet and carried along a bit...

This was now becoming plain ridiculous. How could finding Rune in the pile of... wait was that a stuff toy. Nevermind, Louisa thought. Taking a deep breath she tried to gain her bearings. Rune had to be somewhere in the pile. It was like the hay in the needle stack or was it the other way around? It didn't matter. That was when she heard it. "You sound a bit muffled," she commented with a smirk. Counting to five she dived back into the clothes and dug where Rune just had to be. Her fingers somehow grabbed a hold of his arm and began to pull him out. Too bad for her that was at the same exact moment something sharp cut her forearm.

"You're bleeding," he said, blinking at the sudden light. He didn't see what had caused it. The bleeding. "I wonder where I keep the bandages," he said after a moment. He was certain that he had some somewhere, but the question was where. Then Rune looked at his hands and was distracted. They were empty. The purple haired teen looked around the now-messy room as if that would help matters. It didn't. "The skirt..." he mumbled. It was now lost in this mess. Great.

"Don't bother," Louisa said to Rune while studying her cut. It was only about an inch long. Licking the blood away she reached into her pants pocket and pulled out a bandage. Why she always carried them in her pocket would be a mystery. Without looking up at Rune's exclamation over the loss of her repaired skirt she sighed. "We'll find it somewhere near the bottom," she smiled darkly. "But let's eat before the meal gets cold. This pile of stuff won’t be walkin’ away and out the window. Or is it?" She had muttered as she carefully placed the bandaged over the small cut.

Rune tilted his head to one side at Lou's comment that the pile might be walking away and out the window. He shrugged, glancing at Lou's careful bandaging, and bounced over to his newly-discovered kitchen to make sure everything was still edible-seeming and such.

Rune then bounded off to the kitchen. He was a strange boy to say the least but to her he was normal. Well, everyone had a different value of opinion. "So what cha cook for lunch, or is it dinner time already," Louisa shrugged. "Oh, and Elea why is your cage covered in purple. Come 'ere you royal kitty," she said as she took the fabric off and lifted his cage from the ground. "We're going to be trying the delicacies of Chef Rune."
