~I shouldn't be here, I shouldn't be here, I shouldn't be here,~ Kellan thought repeatedly, nervously. He was 'home', searching through the messy old library. He'd been going through documents and such in the official City library with no success, when he remembered the dusty and stifling library at 'home'. He'd mentioned that he was going to check out his parents' library to the rest of the group, and whoever wanted to tag along and help out was welcome; currently he was trying not to have a panic attack. What if his father came home? Oh, this was not going to turn out well. He hadn't contacted his parents since leaving, and he didn't want to see them. Ever again.
The blond teenager wasn't sure what he was looking for, exactly. No one had been in here since he'd played in here as a child. There was a fort made of sheets, two tables, and several chairs in a corner. Some of the chairs were on the tables, under the long, draping, dusty sheets, making it look more the part of a strange fortress. There were books underneath, as well as on the shelves, stacked in corners, piled on chairs and every avalible flat surface... he'd spent a lot of time in here while growing up. He'd read every book he could reach, and that included climbing the shelves. Unfortunately, he couldn't get very far back then without falling back to the floor... let alone get the books back on the higher shelves.
Sneezing at the dust, Kel crawled under the fort and dragged out some of the books; the ones under there had been the ones that had interested him the most. Might as well start there. He had no other direction to start in, after all.
Trying to remain calm as he began flipping through the books, he wished he could've brought Vincent along. He didn't think his... friend... would've thought it was a good idea to 'visit' his old place though. Especially not 'just' to read a few old books. It wasn't as if Kel could tell him about... anything. That didn't sit well with the teenager, he loved Vincent, but really... this was important. If they -when they beat this curse or whatever it was, Kerra would be free from the fear that haunted her every day...
