Dune had a slight hangover from the night before, he had just one too many drinks and was now regretting it, After he ordered a hot cup of tea and recieved then drink he sat down at a nearby table and took a sip.
He looked around briefly after setting his tea down, then pulled out a book and opened it halfway to a page marked by a "dog ear" he began to read taking a sip of his tea every now and then.

Alessa hummed cheerfully, pedelling the bike. She was right. Easier, and much more fun than pushing the big unwieldy thing. It was her older brothers... smiling, she glanced back at him. He couldn't keep up, not only was she going fast on the bike... fweeee... he was lugging a bunch of books with him. The girl grinned, half turning, and waved to him. Unfortunately, that unbalanced her. She turned around quickly to grab at the handlebars, but it was too late. She, it, the bike, was out of control. And she couldn't reach the ground, and the breaks... how did they work?! It wasn't long before she crashed into a building. The teenager, tangled with the bike, fell to the ground. Strangely enough, neither she nor the bike was damaged. Much. She was definately bruised. After a few moments, she said, flatly, "Ack. Bad bike."

By the time the young girl had crashed into the building Dune had finished his tea and was on his way outside, his hangover nearly gone.
He looked around and saw that no one seemed to want to help the girl out he paused, pondered if he needed to be anywhere.. nope, he then headed to the girl. "I'm quite surprised no one has offered to help such a beautiful young lady, are you alright?" Dune said as he reached the point where the girl was, then offering his hand to help her up from off the ground.

"I guess I'm alright," the short teenager said with a slight smile, taking the blond's offered hand. Lessa could be considered attractively interesting, perhaps... not beautiful though. If it wasn't the fact that she had boobs, she thought she might be mistaken for a guy. Though a short, impish, and very cute guy, in her opinion. Her hair was even shorter than her brother's... speaking of. "Alas... Alastor??" She looked around. He wasn't there. He wasn't anywhere! "Ack, I lost him!" A familiar sense of panic stirred under the surface. Ever since he'd vanished for six months, she had a vague dread of him leaving again that could easily turn to full blown panic if she wasn't careful.

Alastor had distinctly told his twin not to ride his bike. The seat was way to high for her, so the moment she would get on it her feet wouldn't touch the ground. She usually rode on the rack above the back wheel where a basket could be connected to the bike for deliveries. But off course they had left the basket at home which meant he had to carry the books. They were heavy and he insisted to carry them. This gave Lessa a chance to ride his bike. Wait why was she waving? "Look out where you're going," he shouted.
"You should follow your advise, kid," said a strange voice from somewhere above him. Wait a second. "How did I get on the ground?" Alastor said coming to. Worrying about Alessa's safety he had forgotten about his own and ran into some random vendor cart. "You fell kid," replied the owner of the cart again. "Hey, where did these books come from? The covers look older than you. Did you steal them?"
"No, I'm delivering them," Alastor replied. Then abruptly he got up and began to collect the books. The vendor didn't believe him. "There are no delivery services near here. You are lying." Great, now he was in trouble. "I am not," he protested. But of course who would believe a teenager. "Ow, stop that," he said backing away. "Why are you hitting me with your fan?" The vendor didn't answer instead she kept hitting him in the head with the but end of her fan. It hurt. Where was his twin?
"I don't steal," he yelled running away from there with books in hand. Then he noticed a commotion in front of him. Someone had run into a building with a bike. No, it couldn't be. "Alessa?" Alastor called out. Stopping he watched as a blonde man came to her aid. This was the chance the vendor had been waiting for. Something hit the back of his head causing him to fall forward in a heap into the only mud puddle on the street. The vendor had a good aim. She was about fifty feet away but her fan still made its mark.

"Hey!" A petite blonde girl yelled from across the street at the vendor. "Whaddaya think you're doing? He was just makin' a delivery!" Tamsyn marched across the street and picked up the vendor's fan, then pitched it back at her, hitting her squarely in the face. "You can't just attack random people like that!"
((Look who's talking...))

"Maybe I can help?" Who ever this Alastor was, they seemed important to the girl "Do you have a picture of Alastor? .....or could you describe him?"
It was probably a good thing that Dune had nothing planned for today otherwise he'd be in too much of a rush to stay for long. He picked up the bike for the girl and leaned it against the building.

"He's my twin... he's..." Alessa began, then heard someone call her name. She smiled. It was him. She turned toward the sound of his voice just in time to see him hit in the back of the head with a fan. "Right there.." She nodded toward the puddle he had face-planted in, looking like an angry kitten. Someone had dared hurt her Astor. Her baby brother. Someone was going to get her little fist in their teeth, if she had anything to say about it. Before she could spaz out at the vendor, a random girl threw the fan back at her and hit her directly in the face. Anger dissipated completely. She even went so far as to smile.

((So sorry... *coughs*))
The vendor was totally taken aback by the fan being returned to her at such force. She wasn't expecting it to be done nor was she expecting the petite blonde girl. Rubbing her nose (where the fan had hit) the vendor sneered at her. "Whether that boy is on a delivery or not those books are too old for him to be carrying," she half yelled as she waved to the fallen books. Luckily all but one missed the puddle of water.
A loud noise from her cart caused the old lady to look away. For some unexplained reason more customers than usual had decided to stop at that moment. It was as though they were telling her to leave the poor boy alone. There was also no way she could ignore them which could possibly cause her to lose business. So, for now, the vendor forgot about the boy and his little group of friends.
Alastor raised himself out of the puddle. His clothes were soaking wet as was his hair. And to think he had just taken a shower last night. At least he thought he had. Maybe it was the day before but anyways he had been clean. Know he was sobbin’ wet in dirty, muddy water. That was when something other than water dripped into his eye. Above his left eye was a cut. It was bleeding. The smile disappeared from his face. Alastor had been happy that Lessa wasn't hurt. Now though he grew worried. He was bleeding and the blood was dripping in his eye!

Growling, Tamsyn bent and retrieved the fallen books, wiping the wet one off carefully with the edge of her shirt. Then she carefully set the stack next to the boy. "Hey, you're bleeding, you know! Let me see. Hold still!" She pulled off the handkerchief that bound her hair back and tied it around his head, using it to staunch the flow of blood from the cut. Kneeling on the ground in front of the boy, she started asking questions. "What's your name? Where are you taking this books? You aren't taking them to a man named Kaeto, are you?" Squinting, she looked into his eyes, worried by the dazed expression he had. "Hey, are you okay?"

"It seems bad luck kinda haunts you both" Dune shrugged "maybe we should go check on him?" dune then thought to himself that while a strange way to start the day that maybe today wouldnt be too bad, especially since his hangover went away quickly.

"Um yeah," Lessa replied oh-so-intelligently, glancing up at the blond before making her way over to her brother and kneeling next to him. "Astor, ya okay...? What in the world was that about?" she asked, smiling at the girl that was helping him out.

Alastor blinked in confusion as a girl wrapped something around his head to stop the blood flow. Who was she and why was she asking so many question? "Urgh, I'm going to have a head ache in the morning," Alastor said with a grimace before it turned into a small smile. "I'm fine young miss. This is nothing new but I did think that old, uh, lady hit me in the same exact spot from when I fell earlier. Over there," he explained and pointed to the vendor's cart. "ran into it I think. Can't remember really. Um, did you say Kaeto? Who is this person but it might be. Lessa," he called." Do you remember the dude's name whose we're suppose to be delivering to."
Alastor then paused and blinked. "Oh my, Alessa are you OK? Did you get hurt? I told you not to ride my bike for I knew this was going to happen. My head hurts," he observed. "It's nothing to worry about."

Tamsyn grinned back at the girl, obviously the twin to the boy she was helping. Twins, of course, were rare. She knew of only one other pair in the whole City-and she knew a lot of people. "Don't worry. That old bat's gonna have a headache for a week! And I bet her customers saw that, too! But-do you know the name of the person who you're delivering the books to?"

"do I dare ask what happened with you?" he asked Alastor "or what the hecks going on with the crazy hag at the vendors cart?" so far Dune's day has been weird, normally his life wasnt so full of activity at least not this early in the morning.

"Um.." Lessa went wide eyed at being expected to remember the person's name. Why couldn't he remember, she hadn't been paying attention.. The girl concentrated, trying to figure remember, "Um... it might've been Kaeto. Something starting with K, anyhoo..."

Alastor leaned forward resting his hurting head in his cupped hands. This was the only indignation that he was in any pain. Alessa was OK and that was enough for him. Then the blonde dude started to ask him what he had done to the vendor cart lady to deserve a fan being throw and the yelling, the terrible yelling...
"I ran into her cart being blinded by the fact my crazy sister was riding my bike in which I warned her not to be doing so," Astor answered quickly not sure if he had made any sense. "As for the one we're delivering to, his name does indeed start with a 'k'. Lessa, do you still have the piece of paper with the address and name of the person we're delivering to?"

"Oh hi!" Tamsyn turned to the boy who had been helping the twins. "I guess we both got pulled into this, huh? Oh, by the way, I'm Tamsyn! What are your names?"

"Well that explains some things" Dune then noticed that Tamsyn had acknowledged Dune and had greated him "Yeah, it seems so" Dune smirked "I am Dune" he bowed slightly "Its nice to meet you Tamsyn"

Lessa managed to look slightly embarrassed and guilty that she was the one that caused the whole mess. "Um, yeah, I guess..." she pulled out a crumpled piece of paper out of one of her many pockets after much searching. "Um... here... Kaeto.." she blinked. "How did ya know?" she asked the girl, blinking in slight surprise.

"Interesting," Alastor said brushing off the sleeve of his coat. This action only made him realize that he was soaking wet. The joys of falling face first into a mud puddle. "I'm Alastor and this is Alessa. By the way it seems we are heading to this Kaeto's shop to deliver these books. But before we get up and leave is there any way I might get helping standing." To them he probably seemed alright. He just had a bleeding cut on his head that had been bandaged. So what else could be a problem. Alls he did was hit his head against the pavement, blackout slightly only to wake up and run just to be hit in the head with a fan, and finally fall again into a mud puddle. Nothing really was a problem, right?

"Little Astor can walk on his own, I hope?" Alessa asked her younger -yet taller- brother with a concerned big-sister expression, lightly teasing him and exaggerating her concern in order to hide it. Whether or not that made any sense in anyone's head other than her own..
